Job Description
To be familiar with the recipe and prepare orders for daily operations.
Preparation of bread & pastry orders as required which includes making specialty bread as scheduled monthly.
Contribute to the scheduling of customer orders by briefing Manager on the demand of bread & pastry requirements.
Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or better, following recipes. (Baker must measure ingredients with a high degree of precision)
Roll, cut and shape dough to form related products.
Prepare and make the filling for relevant product.
Adjust drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature. Observe product while cooking, checking color and adjusting controls.
Use Variety of kitchen tools, including electric mixer, pans, rolling pins and cutting tools.
Select the appropriate pans and equipment for various baked goods.
To observe excellent food hygiene practice in the food chain from storage to preparation and service.
To ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order and report any maintenance issues to the Manager.
Undertake and carry out other duties/responsibilities upon Management request.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
