Job Overview
 
We seek a Backend Software Developer to join our growing global team. This is a fully remote, full-time (40 hours per week) contract position with flexible hours, ideal for candidates based in the Philippines. We currently have one full-time front-end developer in the Philippines and want to grow the team there. You will report to our CTO in the United States (Arizona).
 
Key Responsibilities
Lead or play a prominent role in designing and managing relational databases with Postgres
Drive backend development, prioritizing serverless architectures and edge functions
Troubleshoot and solve complex problems, including resolving support tickets
Incorporate automation tools to maximize efficiency
Actively participate in deployment processes for backend and frontend apps
Write and implement unit tests, integration tests, and functional tests
Skills Required
Experience with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms.
Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
Knowledge of APIs for frontend interactions (we use Flutter)
Experience with cloud services (Cloudflare Workers, Google Cloud, Fly.io)
Familiarity with email/SMS services (SendGrid, Twilio) and payment processing (Stripe, Apple, Google Play Store)
Experience releasing and supporting applications through app stores
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience with the required skills
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the position's required skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated English proficiency, particularly with discussing technology and software-related topics
