Position Title: Back End Software Engineer
Salary: 100,000 - 150,000 PHP monthly
Reports To: Partner, Partner Advisor
Primary Relationships: Partner Team
Date: October 2023
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PHT
Purpose of the position:
The Back-end Software Engineer role is focused on the development of software solutions within the business platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for software analysis, design, development, mentoring, documentation, defect resolution, and implementation of back-end components for associated software applications. This role requires adherence to development standards and best practices in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
Working with subject matter experts in the development and product team to develop and refine back-end components in our solution
Supporting our AWS application suite of technologies under a repeatable CI/CD pattern.
Creating robust and flexible software solutions with the development team
Performing code review processes where appropriate to ensure they meet our coding standards
Assist in configuring, integrating, and supporting various COTS and SaaS applications within our ecosystem
Collect, generate, or help refine high-level requirements and create implementation strategies, acceptance criteria, and test cases
Deploying the solution to our quality assurance environments and resolving defects discovered during testing
Assisting in ensuring project progress is tracked and defects resolved within a timely manner
Creating and maintaining supporting documentation
Other software development responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
Knowledge in the Australian Finance and Real Estate sectors
Familiarity with technical writing
Interested in staying up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices
A good understanding and practical application of adaptable systems and design patterns that support best practices in our integration and storage architecture
High level of engagement with the team on our development practices
Sprint tasks and goals are regularly met
High-quality Code is produced with minimum defects
Team knowledge improves through your mentoring and coaching of the members
Additionally, we encourage continuous improvement and expect this individual to provide feedback on encountered issues throughout the software development lifecycle, actively working towards resolution to help the team scale and improve.
