What we're looking for
We're looking for an effective Solutions Engineer who is able to collaborate with clients in learning their technical needs. The Solutions Engineer is expected to support the after-sales process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Solutions Engineer directly interfaces with the clients, sales team, and the media display operations team. The primary job of the Solutions Engineer is to support the pre-sales process by assessing and identifying the client's technical media display needs and provide them with a customized, efficient, and effective solution design.
In the pursuit of excellence, part of the Solutions Engineer's job is to conduct research on products, develop and/or redesign existing media display solutions, and conduct testing on products and solution concepts.
1. Achieves financial targets by supporting the pre-sales process:
Establish and maintain good working relationship and coordination with Sales team and other company divisions;
Effectively articulates the features of the products and solutions offered;
Prepares and convincingly delivers presentation of products and services to clients;
Coordinate with Marketing team to ensure marketing strategies are planned and implemented in accordance with the direction of the business unit;
Calculates client quotation and conducts cost analysis; o Negotiates and closes tender details and contract terms;
2. Provides customized media display solutions to clients by:
Identifying client's media display needs which includes, but is not limited to:
A. Purpose of the display;
B. Location (indoor or outdoor);
C. Display model (LED/TV);
D. Other specifications such as height, distance, etc.;
Suggests appropriate products to address the customer's needs;
Conducting site visit and ocular inspection;
Conducting technical assessment to provide effective and efficient solution design and bill of materials;
Providing diagram for electrical and data supply in coordination with MDS Operations Team;
3. Supports after-sales process through:
Conducting user training to clients and helps them understand how to utilize the equipment from the end-user level;
Conducting basic troubleshooting and technical user-training for technical support team and partners for installation and maintenance of solutions;
Providing technical support as necessary;
4. Does administrative tasks such as:
Preparing of sales and client reports;
Processing reimbursement and liquidation of expenses;
Preparing and facilitating Turnover Documents;
Compiling of proposal and reports related to clients and solution designs;
Maintaining an organized and accurate documentation system in accordance to the company's standard procedures and process.
Educational Background and Work Experiences:
1. Bachelor's Degree in any of the following:
A. Electronics and Communications Engineering;
B. Electrical Engineering;
2. You have at least two (2) years experience working as Technical Sales (LED installations and/or arranging of AVPs) or had an AVP-related experience.
Key Competencies and Skills:
1. Technically Adept: Proficient in installing and maintaining electronic equipment such as LED panels, Audio-visual equipment.
2. Strong business acumen. Can easily identify and assess business opportunities.
3. Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to provide simple and understandable presentation to the clients through communicating with them in a language they can easily understand.
4. Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Has a strong interest and enthusiasm in working with and learning about electronics communication.
Our work days and hours
We only work on Mondays to Fridays, on a flexible daily schedule. Your weekends are yours to enjoy.
