Responsibilities:
Understand the overall functionality, features and use of our software products to an expert level.
Create a testing approach covering both functional and non-functional quality across the entire technology stack.
Contribute to continuous improvement in our development, delivery process, tools, frameworks and testing.
Actively participate in requirements discovery to harness a solid understanding of epics and stories and their priorities.
Conduct risk analysis of each release from a QA perspective and flag areas of attention for other team members.
Actively participate in estimation ensuring a balance between speed to market and quality.
Have a strong attention to detail work ethic with a rigorous focus on delivering a quality output.
Ensure a balance between automated tests and exploratory manual testing with an emphasis on greater automation where appropriate.
Ensure we track test cases and test runs as per high quality testing process.
Report on progress, quality of deliverables and risks.
Share knowledge with other team members on best practice and testing frameworks and tools.
Document team processes and testing work as required by the team.
Work as part of the delivery team made up of multi skilled members covering development, testing, infrastructure and security.
Required Qualifications:
Experience playing a similar role in a fast paced agile web development environment.
Strong understanding of industry wide testing best practices, including manual, automated, exploratory, BDD, TDD and risk-based testing techniques amongst others.
A thorough understanding of modern web methodologies, including but not limited to, agile, Kanban and lean principles and continuous delivery.
Front-end automation testing experience in a JavaScript and frontend frameworks.
API Testing experience.
Manual testing experience.
Experience with tools such as Robot framework, selenium, use of Page object model and Cucumber (or similar), Jenkins, LambdaTest is a plus or other similar frameworks and technologies
Strong understanding of software development and use of SQL, API concepts and tools.
Excellent communications skills to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrates a natural inquisitive and curious mind to better understand and anticipate how users will use the system.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an IT related field prefered
