To help create the best of the best and to continually delight our clients, we are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join us as a Software Quality Engineer at our Manila office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of quality control tests on proprietary products, as well as 3rd party software that integrates with the overall system at various stages of the production process.
Responsibilities
Create, review and maintain automation tests scripts using Java and GraphQL for regression test of web applications.
Develop and maintain automated Selenium and/or Karate frameworks using Cucumber scenarios, step definitions, methods, scripts, etc.
Perform functional, database, user interface, REST API, cross browser compatibility testing using both manual and automated testing strategies.
Set up and maintain test sites, test data, Jenkins jobs, databases like Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
Document test plans and scenarios independently and execute the plan until closure.
Identify, document and track software defects encountered during testing using JIRA.
Perform thorough verification/validation tests prior to release and ensure a timely delivery of a high quality release.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related.
5 to 7 years of experience in Java programming and scripting background in automation testing.
5 to 7 years of Experience of SQL, Oracle and similar databases.
5 to 7 years of Experience in automation frameworks using Cucumber, Selenium IDE and WebDriver open-source frameworks.
Experience working on Agile - Scrum, Kanban or Lean development processes is preferred.
Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
5 to 7 years of experience with project tracking and documenting tools like JIRA, Confluence.
Familiarity with Cypress and Javascript is a plus.
Familiarity with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 standards, JAWS screen reader accessibility testing tools is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple onshore and off shore teams of Developers, QA Engineers and Automation Engineers.
Must be a self starter and independent operator who can grasp and contribute in a fast paced, highly flexible environment and effectively utilize his or her time in many diverse tasks with limited supervision.
