INCOME AUDITOR for HOSPITALITY
 
Job Summary:
 
The Income Auditor is responsible for auditing and verifying all revenue transactions for our hospitality properties and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the hotel's policies and procedures. This role safeguards the company's assets by maintaining a systematic and disciplined approach to revenue assurance.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Revenue Audit:
Review and reconcile daily revenue reports from all outlets (front office, F&B, spa, etc.).
Verify that all revenues are accurately posted in the Property Management System (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Ensure that room rates, discounts, and packages are correctly applied.
Audit and balance daily cash receipts, credit card payments, and bank deposits.
Control & Compliance:
Ensure all revenue-generating departments adhere to internal control procedures.
Monitor complimentary, house use, and void transactions to prevent revenue leakage.
Verify the accuracy of discounts, rebates, and loyalty point redemptions.
Conduct spot checks and surprise audits when necessary.
Reporting:
Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports to management.
Assist in month-end closing by providing accurate revenue data.
Analyze trends and discrepancies in revenue reports and escalate issues promptly.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Front Office, F&B, Sales & Marketing, and other departments to resolve variances.
Coordinate with IT and systems vendors to ensure accurate data flow between POS/PMS and accounting systems.
Documentation & Records:
Maintain proper filing of daily reports, audit sheets, and supporting documents.
Ensure all records are in compliance with local tax laws and company policies.
