Purpose of Position
To carry out assessments of clients' Management Systems to ensure that they meet the requirements of International Standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other standards where appropriately trained.
To deliver public training courses and in-house training solutions to the BSI standards of excellence, in order to develop knowledge and skills
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
As Assessor:
Assess client's Management Systems in accordance with the standards and relevant specifications and provide effective management of a portfolio of clients in carrying out assessments of their management systems so that they achieve, continue to meet, and if the client wishes ultimately exceed their scheme requirements.
As Tutor:
Ensure that value is added to customers and their business/organisation through the delivery of BSI training courses
Provide feedback to support course development in line with the new course and existing product development process and assistance with the design of training solutions. (E.g. classroom, electronic, correspondence, mentoring, coaching)
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in the required industry sector as determined by the resource planning requirements (e.g. IRCA qualified auditor in ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 required; qualified tutor for Lean and Six Sigma preferred)
Excellent presentation skills, able to present assessment findings professionally and effectively, often trough formal stand-up presentation to a group of senior managers
Strong written communication skills, able to formulate clear, concise and professional reports, explaining technical issues, within required timeframes. Effective communication through the written word is essential.
Ability to design and develop training courses and materials to meet specific aims
