Job Description
Position Overview:
Develops, plans and evaluates internal audit programs for the organization's accounting, statistical records, information systems and related procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and standards. Audits accounting records of contract agreements in which the organization is involved. Audits finance and similar information systems applications. Advises others on internal controls and security procedures. Prepares reports for management on the results of audits, providing recommendations on improvements. Interfaces with and assists outside auditors to expedite their work.
Key Responsibilities:
Participates on, monitors and/or leads significant audit projects covering multiple functions, regions or operations.
Coordinates and oversees audit engagement and assesses documentation to ensure adherence to standards.
Provides insightful and valuable recommendations regarding business process efficiency, internal controls and compliance.
Actively participates in the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting, operations and technology.
Ensures internal cooperation and support for external audits.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business degree
3-5years of SOX internal or external audit experience
