Responsibilities:
Record and reconcile real estate transactions (purchases, sales, rentals, and leases).
Track rental income, security deposits, and property management fees.
Assist in coordinating property closings and ensure accurate financial documentation.
Maintain up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).
Collaborate with external accountants for tax compliance.
Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns related to real estate activities.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, property owners, and clients.
Support budgeting and financial forecasting for real estate projects.
Ensure adherence to financial controls and regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing for financial audits and compliance reviews.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Accounting.
3+ years' proven work experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a real estate or property, management setting.
Solid knowledge of real estate financial practices, including property transactions and rental accounting.
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with tax regulations relevant to real estate is a plus.
