Job Description
The Associate Project Automation Specialist III provides local project support for the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), data ware-house, MasterPlant or other project automation technology used. These technical specialists provide basic end user project support, project configuration or special project modifications required for one or two systems.
. Provide technical configuration and office support for the MasterPlant technology in conjunction with the office Automation Manager
. Employ effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
. Work with the Project Information Manager (PIM) to analyze any technical implementation or configuration issues for the MasterPlant technology
. Collaborate with a more senior Project Automation Specialist (PAS) to analyze and evaluate the MasterPlant technology support and implementation requirements
. Provide rudimentary end user project support, project setup, and configuration or special project modifications required for a limited number of automation technologies.
. Assist Information Technology (IT) in evaluating technology impact to Fluor infrastructure and systems
. Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
. Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
. Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
. Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering or computer science is preferred or equivalent technical experience
. Four (4) years of experience in project, Information Technology or Automation
. Basic knowledge of Information Technology in:
o Desktop/laptop environment and general office tools
o Infrastructure (Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), telecommunications, etc.)
o Electronic security and governance
o Electronic communications
o Network operations and support
o Software development, implementation, and support
. Knowledge of Automation technology and systems integration including:
o Basic knowledge of the Fluor MasterPlant solutions
o Basic knowledge of the tool integration capabilities and discipline integration needs
. Vendor certification in Automation/Information Technology/Information Management technologies the position supports (when available)
