To do so, we have aligned our structure and processes with our strategy and added focus on a strong data management and risk and control environment to drive greater client-centricity across product segments, geography and lines of business. Citi has established its Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Standards to govern and manage data in compliance with regulatory expectations. It sets forth the minimum requirements for the implementation of a consistent and controlled approach to create and use data as a critical corporate asset. The Policy also establishes a Governance Model for Data Management, Governance and Quality across Citi. All Citi employees, contractors, and personnel with responsibility for the ownership, production, and consumption of data must manage data in accordance with the CDGP. This role covers Citibank NA Asia Pacific franchise wide and supports the region with delivery of data Governance and data quality activities outlined in the CDGP, as required by the Enterprise Chief Data Office and Asia Chief Data Office. The role requires the successful candidate to develop a good understanding of the strategic direction of the CDGP and broader businesses (and global functions) to help deliver tangible improvements in commercial processes, data management, data lineage, data quality and management / regulatory reporting. This is very much a 'hands on' role which will require elements of business analysis, root cause analysis and evaluation of solutions to improve data quality across the Asia Pacific region. The role will report to the Asia Data Quality Lead in the Asia Pacific Chief Data Office. Responsibilities: Support the Asia Data Quality Vice President to implement necessary policies, standards, procedures, and system enhancements to resolve current Data Governance gaps around Data Quality. Strive to become an SME on Citi data quality policies, processes, and platforms and liaison across business, technology, and governance teams Delivery of Asia focused data governance activities (including areas such as Asia Pacific Data Governance Council, review principles, policy, practices and standards) and provide materials for Board and Senior Management, plus regulatory related meetings. Work closely with business, technology, and global function partners to support the development and implementation of Citi's data quality standards and procedures (development of data and control requirements, process development, process mapping,implementation plans, etc) Collaborate and support the resolution of data quality matters with the regional federated chief data office partners across businesses, global functions and technology and a matrixed team of employees and consultants. The types of problems the Data Quality Management Team will work on will include: Helping to resolve gaps in data quality flow between client / transaction source systems and various downstream reporting systems. Driving and assisting the mobilization and implementation of data quality solutions. Strengthen predictive and detective data controls. Improve the measurement and communicate the effectiveness of our data quality efforts. Support the Data Quality VP with management/oversight of project plans, issues lists and key metrics that ensure program delivery and efficiency. Track adherence with Citi project/PMO standards for delivery updates, progress, risks. Help to monitor data quality metrics/KPIs as well as identify and implement improvement opportunities. Support in driving and developing the data culture in the region. Defines strategies to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve data quality. Works with data quality partners and Technology teams to identify and implement data quality tools. Identify critical data elements, data quality rules, thresholds, and other business requirements. Assists in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on the data quality program. Designs/analyzes moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements. Responsible for own work to support business teams in assigned area. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams, and is involved in coaching and training of new recruits in business processes and procedures of business Utilizes communication and diplomacy skills are required. Performs other job duties and functions as assigned. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a record of accomplishment in data quality, data management, process reengineering, system strategy/analysis, and technical requirements development. This individual will leverage their knowledge of data governance concepts, data management processes, system data flows, and tools to support the development and enhancement of data quality and reporting across lines of business. This will include the entire data quality lifecycle from source data identification to implementation of data quality controls and monitoring within a financial services organization. Bachelors Degree At least 5-8 years' experience in Risk Management, Decision Management, Finance, Operations and/or Collections, Business Intelligence, Technology, Data/Database Management, Customer Analytics and Reporting, Project / Program Management, Operational Risk Experience with data management and/or data quality tools and applications (e.g. Collibra, Ab Initio, etc) Experience includes active role / participation in one or more data related initiatives such as meta data management, data quality (DQ), data profiling, aligning business processes with data, metrics and reporting, data-related issue management and remediation efforts, developing or supporting standards / policies. Experience with cross-functional / business delivery, ideally with a large data component. Project and relationship management experience across managed segments and functional areas is a plus Experience either in process reengineering and/or process optimization is ideal Experience in industry best practices related to data management is a plus Soft Skills Experience Strong relationship management and advisory skills with sponsors, key stakeholders, partners and team members. Familiarity with preparation to engage executive level management Good presentation skills, business and technical writing, and verbal communication skills to support decision-making and actions. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirement and industry information affecting the business environment. Business analysis experience and ability to break complex problems into bite chunks Willingness to pitch-in with other team members. Entrepreneurial, 'can do' spirit to identify problems or challenges and solve them. Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to interface with internal and external resources to define requirements.
