ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
 
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for management and implementation of the construction and/or development projects undertaken by the company - from start to finish.
 
It is a key position that requires comprehensive knowledge and skills in managing projects, specifically in project planning and coordination, budget management, project scheduling, quality control, and documentation - ensuring that cost, time, and quality standards and targets are met at the end of each project.
 
Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in Construction
Must be a graduate of BS Civil Engineering (not necessarily licensed)
Proficient in cost estimating; preparation of BOM/BOQ
Proficient in MS (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), AutoCAD, Sketchup
Proficient in both oral and written communication
Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
Strong people handling skills toward project team, subordinates, and workers
Must be detail and results oriented (proactive as well)
Must be able to work in a fast paced working environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts technical review and evaluation of project plans and specification
Pre-construction planning which includes organizing project team, and preparation of manpower, materials, tools & equipment required for a project
Cost estimating and preparation of BOM / BOQ
Project scheduling and preparation of Barchart / S-curve
Site management and supervision, from start of project up to completion & turnover ensuring that cost, time, and quality targets are achieved at the end of each project
Weekly coordination meetings with Project engineers, foreman, subcontractors, suppliers
Handling of contract documents, job orders, and subcontractor billings
Handling of manpower DTR and payroll
Coordination with consultants such as architect / designer, structural engineer, surveyor
Coordination with local gov't units for permits, utility companies for power and water, and the like
Daily Reporting of Project site activities / manpower / accomplishments and weekly Progress Reporting
