Job Summary:
The Assistant Ramp Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and administration of the department, focusing on on-time departures, baggage mishandling management, and safe ramp operations. This position prioritizes safety, security, and service standards for ramp ground operations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure ground handling operations comply with relevant regulations and standards set by Philippines AirAsia Inc.
Oversee the safety and security risks associated with ramp ground operations.
Manage and supervise functions and activities within the scope of ramp ground handling operations.
Make decisions up to Low-Risk events, consulting the Head of Ground Operations for Medium-High Risk events or incidents.
Foster effective communication and coordination with local and government agencies to assess airports and associated facilities for meeting targeted standards and procedures.
Maintain high discipline levels among ground operations staff in interactions with both internal and external customers.
Create and analyze reports and dashboards, designing templates and addressing performance issues as needed.
Advise the Ramp Manager and Head of Department on performance and service improvement issues.
Strive for optimal efficiency in administrative routines and daily operations to align with company procedures and requirements.
Perform other departmental functions as required, including station audits, visits, and training.
Qualifications:
Must be physically fit.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the aviation industry.
Must have experience supervising or managing a team.
Hold a bachelor's degree diploma college graduate.
Exhibit strong personal traits and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a challenging environment.
Adaptability to a fast-paced environment is essential.
Demonstrated teamwork and exceptional communication skills.
Proficient in Google Suites, WPS, and MS Suite.
Fluent in oral and written English/Filipino.
Maintain high confidentiality, tact, and discretion in dealing with people.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers.
Comfortable working in a diverse environment and open to required travel.
