Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily responsible for assembling or fabricating mechanical parts, pieces or products.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reads, interprets and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
2. Uses a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment.
3. Inspects and tests parts a0nd products as necessary during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.
4. Performs mechanical assembly of final assemblies and sub-assemblies.
5. Performs quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
6. Practices problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.
7. Identifies products defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
8. Ensures compliance with ISO procedures.
9. Performs other tasks assigned from time to time.
