QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Quality Control/Assurance in graphic / packaging / printing or related industry.
Displays fantastic client knowledge, being able to quickly overcome any client obstacles.
Ability to do a task while under pressure, delivering reports or jobs on time and correct.
Strong problem solving skills
Good coaching skills, able to drive Quality Control team members to achieve desired results.
Has clear and concise communications through formal and informal methods, email, presentations, and verbal.
Data savvy, able to drive solutions through available tools.
Proficient in all Windows software.
Essential Functions
Primary focus
Checks digital file at end of each stage during production following SGS procedures - i.e. artwork, technical drawing, colour separation, etc
Ensures brief mentioned in MySGS system or designated media(s) has been applied to the output correctly
Follows the client's and SGS processes strictly
Clarifies with the corresponding client service representative when the instruction mentioned in the brief is not clear and concise
Logs each checked job in the QC Log Sheet
Logs each job in MySGS
Supervises and coach the PP/PA team members to ensure they are capable to work correctly based on standards/procedure
Escalates either equipment or job specific issues to the Quality Control Lead
Reports to Senior Quality Control or designated staff when procedures are not being followed or when an abnormal situation arises, which cannot be resolved by his/her own self.
Supporting tasks
Involves in quality investigations and support in corrective actions
Suggests / Implements process changes to reduce risk of problems re-occurring
Arranges and facilitates training for PP/PA operator. Keep training records up to date
Trains/coaches junior staff as needed
Completes any adhoc task assigned by Senior Quality Control or Quality and Process Manager.
