AREA SUPERVISOR
 
Summary:
 
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a production team to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes. The role involves leadership, coordination, and a focus on achieving production goals.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing and coordinating the production activities in their designated area or department
Ensure that production schedules are met and that products are manufactured according to quality standards and specifications.
In charge of the production team, including hiring, training, and assigning tasks to production workers. They also monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and address any personnel issues that may arise.
Work closely with production planners and managers to develop production schedules, allocate resources, and set production targets.
Ensuring the quality of the products is a critical responsibility.
Monitor production processes to identify and address any deviations from quality standards also conduct quality inspections and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Responsible for enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that employees follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
Conduct safety training and investigate accidents or incidents.
Keeping accurate records of production data, including production output, quality metrics, and resource usage, is important.
Responsible for generating reports and maintaining documentation for auditing and performance analysis.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and labor laws is essential.
Need to stay updated on relevant regulations and make sure their department complies with them.
Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, HRM, Operations Management, or a related discipline is often preferred. Some industries may accept candidates with a high school diploma or an associate degree, especially if accompanied by substantial experience.
Knowledge Base:
In-depth knowledge of the specific production processes and technologies relevant to the industry.
Understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality control.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Skills:
Strong leadership and management skills to supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with team members, other departments, and management.
Problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during the production process.
Organizational skills to manage workflow, schedules, and resources efficiently.
Experience:
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is often required. Experience may be gained through roles such as a production supervisor, line leader, or a similar position.
Familiarity with the specific products or processes within the industry is beneficial.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Tagalog, Cebuano, Visayan, English

Must be present in the office on work days. Unless otherwise assigned and or directed to you by the direct supervisor and/or employer to have work-related trips outside the office.
