SANTOS LAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is urgently in need of 2 - Architect I (Site Architect)
 
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the architectural aspects of construction projects on-site. They act as the liaison between the design team and the construction team, ensuring that architectural plans and designs are properly implemented and executed during the construction phase. Also ensure that the quality, safety, and functionality of a building project are in line with the approved designs and regulations.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Monitor daily construction activities to ensure the project adheres to the approved architectural plans, building codes, and safety standards.
Supervise and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals.
Provide on-site solutions for design-related issues, offering technical advice when required.
Ensure that all architectural drawings are accurately translated into the physical structure, maintaining the integrity of the design.
Perform regular site inspections to ensure the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and compliance with the design specifications.
Ensure that the construction progress is on track with the schedule and budget.
Liaise between the project team (architects, engineers, and contractors) and the client, ensuring smooth communication.
Address and resolve any site-related concerns raised by contractors or stakeholders.
Ensure that the project complies with all local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with inspectors to obtain necessary permits and approvals during various stages of the construction.
Anticipate potential issues on-site and proactively suggest solutions to keep the project on track.
Address challenges related to design execution, structural issues, or other on-site obstacles.
Maintain accurate records of all site activities, changes, and decisions made during the construction process.
Prepare and submit progress reports to senior architects, contractors, or clients.
Oversee the final inspection of the completed structure to ensure it matches the architectural intent.
 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture;
Must be a Licensed Architect;
Must have knowledge on Construction Management;
Must have knowledge on local building codes, regulations, and construction standards;
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as an architect, preferably in the construction industry;
Prior experience working on site and managing the practical implementation of architectural designs is highly desirable;
Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp;
With excellent written and oral communication skills.
