WHAT IS AN APPLICATION DEVELOPER Application Developer is accountable for IT application development and support activities including maintenance, administration and second line support, working closely with the Service Desk and developers to ensure timely resolution of IT application-related requests. WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Analysis, development and unit testing of new applications, and upgrades to existing applications Liaising with external developers to manage deployment and integration of various systems across the business Liaising with internal stakeholders e.g.: Systems Analysts, Release Manager and business owners to deliver solutions Peer reviewing development tasks for other developers Performing code reviews for new projects Participating in the solution design phase to ensure solution meets business needs and is in line with IT application strategy. Re-factoring design and code as part of ongoing development. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Java, Maven, Soap UI, andReadyAPI, Azure DevOps, CI/CD. Experience with API automation testing. Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, & Confluence. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work across multiple projects/platforms. Experience testing web, mobile and windows applications Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
