As an Android Mobile Developer, some of the things we'd expect you to do are to...
Architecture, design and build of Android apps
Analysing per-task briefs to produce technical implementation plans and estimates
Work alongside backend developers to improve, whenever possible, the response times of the API in order to provide a fast and smooth experience while using the apps.
Review of and recommendations for design and UX
Implementation of new features and amendments
Bug investigation and solutions
Enthusiastic participation in SCRUM activities, and contributing new items to our product backlog
Adhering to our coding standards, keeping up with current practices
Accurate, detailed and up-to-date documentation of code and systems
Training and up-skilling team on Android development
Submitting apps to Google Play and ensuring apps are approved
Maintaining and improving our continuous test build
Assistance in proactively monitoring and improving our systems: production, development, build and test platforms.
As required, other devops, QA and software development tasks.
It would be awesome if you are or have the following...
Solid commercial experience in Android Development writing production-quality code.
Experience working on both Android JAVA and Kotlin.
Experience working with Flutter is highly desirable.
A strong unit testing-driven development experience.
Experience with UI and Integration testing with tools like Espresso.
Ready to work in a cross-functional environment.
Experience working end to end from development to release, bugfix, maintenance
🎓 Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, application performance, or a related field.
