Position Summary:
The person in this project-oriented position is responsible for conducting complex analyses and developing insights that will drive performance improvements across the enterprise. Areas of focus may include revenue enhancement, cost reduction, enhanced operational efficiency, and performance enhancement relative to competitors. As an internal consultant to multiple areas of the company, this person will use analytical and process improvement skills to support projects across a wide variety of the enterprise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs analysis on internal and external data, including, but not limited to, analysis of markets, customers, and businesses.
Gathers and distills competitive information and market analysis.
Conducts comprehensive analysis of complex data, with strong experience in gathering actionable insights. Strong statistical and mathematical skills desired.
Manages internal databases and models and performs ad hoc analysis as required.
Identifies improvement opportunities while displaying creativity, drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Supports the creation and development of the company¿s Strategic Plan, working with company leaders and stakeholders around the company. Strong presentation and writing skills are required.
Interfaces effectively with all levels within the organization in a manner that is collaborative and respectful.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
Two to four years of financial and business analytics or consulting experience required.
Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to digest and summarize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents.
Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the cruise business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
Knowledge of the cruise/leisure industry, as well as an in-depth familiarity with key corporate data.
Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
Experience with statistical / analytical tools such as Essbase, Hyperion (formerly BRIO), Hyperion Studio, SAS, and R preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
