Job Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Philippine Government in Environment, Health, and Safety. These government rules and regulations include but are not limited to the regulations of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), and Philippine National Police (PNP).
Responsible with the reporting requirements of the above-named agencies/offices.
Ensure implementation and employee's compliance with the B/E Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environment Policy Manual.
Acts in advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to safety and environment.
Acts as Secretary to the Central EHS Committee or EHS Leadership team.
Conducts accident investigations, reporting and analysis. maintains or helps in the maintenance of an efficient accident recording systems and checks actions taken by supervisors to eliminate accident causes.
Ensure that hazard identification, Risk Assessment and Control Documents remains active and relevant.
Evaluate new chemicals and recommend measures for its regulatory compliance.
Coordinate all safety and environment training programs. Conducts safety and environment seminars (hazard communication, chemical management, chemical spill, etc.) designed for B/E Aerospace employees' needs.
Conducts regular safety and environment inspection and walk-through.
Acts as liaison officer and provides assistance to government agencies concerned in the conduct of safety and environment inspection, accident investigation or any other related program.
Supports the proper operation and maintenance of Pollution Control Facilities such as dust collector system, standby emergency generator system, septic tanks and other air pollution control facilities.
Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of fire protection equipment of the company.
Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of procedures and guidelines for the supply, handling, receipt, inventory and storage of the plant's chemical requirements.
Supervise and coordinate the loading and unloading of chemicals.
Responsible for the proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous and other industrial waste.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of experience in Environmental, Health or Safety in a manufacturing environment or a combination of those functions
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
Ability to effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level executive team
