Responsible for activities and operations in the accounts payable function for Western Digital Global Finance Organization (SSC Philippines). The person will supervise the functional process of Accounts Payable particularly Global Payments, Travel & Expense and Invoice Processing Team.
Job Description
- Supervise the daily operations of Global Payments, Travel & Expense & EMEA Invoice Processing and ensure alignment, reporting and communication including facilitating the daily visual management, implementation of appropriate backup systems, monitoring of daily performance, issues, and productivity and stakeholder escalations.
- Perform review and approval of automated and manual payments through different systems
- Review of bank acknowledgement file reconciliation for all automated payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for all processes
- Ensure compliance to internal control standards
- Provide accurate internal operational performance reporting to include KPIs, key accomplishments, issues and challenges
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and on-going projects
- Generate various weekly AP & Payment reports
- Execute the end-to-end Payments process for the assigned entities
- Act as Team's POC for internal and external audit requirements
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related professional qualifications - Certified Public Accountant (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance function - preferably in Accounts Payable or Procurement
- Knowledgeable with ERP systems (SAP and/or Oracle)
- Experience in online banking systems such as JPM Access & Citidirect (preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of the Source to Pay business process
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work under time pressure and handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy, integrity, accountability and good problem solving skills
- Proven ability to support a team, including building a collaborative approach in the development of the direction and operations
- Strong writing, communications, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
