QUALIFICATIONS
• Vocational or High school graduate
• Professional Licensed with Restriction 1 or 2
• Must be licensed to drive, must have good driving record
• Must complete formal training program in Red Cross First Air training Program
• Must be attentive and with good judgment abilities, responsibilities and have good eyesight
• Must be conscious and possess quick reflexes; must be able to sit long hours while concentrating in driving the vehicle
• Must report any incident involving the ambulance vehicle
Ambulance Drivers and other ambulance personnel is often the first member of the medical team to teach a person in need of medical attention. Ambulance drivers operate - vehicle that carry sick and accident victims to hospitals. Ambulance driver may have to perform physical persistent duties; work under intense pressure since their work involves matters of life and death.
1. Drives the ambulance and assist in ambulance services.
2. Participate in some activities in the Emergency Room and other areas when not in ambulance service.
3. After making his rounds stays in the Emergency Room or Information Section at all times when on duty.
4. Shall perform any duties this may be required from time to time.
5. At the start of the duty and or your arrival at the garage, must check the vehicle conditions as to its mechanical, brakes, electrical, lights, sound system as well as the water, oil, brake fluids and tires including the spare tire.
6. To report immediately by submitting an incident report and any other department relative to the incident involving the vehicle (accident, collision, apprehensions) to the HR Department and President's Office duly noted by the Peace and Order Supervisor. Failure to the driver to report such shall be meted with disciplinary action.
7. To take extra care of the vehicle, after thorough investigation and the driver is found to be liable for the damages; he shall he shall pat the participation fee based on the assessment of the insurance company.
8. Attends and participates in meetings and seminars.
