AIRCON TECHNICIAN
 
Job Description
Install, maintain and repair air conditioning systems and equipment
Inspect and assess systems to identify any potential problems
Repair or replace worn out or defective parts in the air conditioning system
Perform routine preventive maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are operating at optimal capacity
Document each aspect of a system, including all maintenance and repair work, as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
Order necessary parts and supplies to complete all tasks
Identify maintenance risks on equipment
Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions
Provide excellent customer service and explain any repairs needed
Ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner to high quality standards
Carry out minor plumbing maintenance work, including change or repair of leaks in faucets and drains, trenching and laying of new lines, unclogging of drains, etc.
Respond to emergency calls for system repair and maintenance
Provide support after work hour if required in situations like emergency, workshop, commission meetings, and other company functions
Provide assistance to Engineer in planning new installation and modification projects, preparation of specification, and major reconditioning and overhauling projects, applying knowledge of refrigerating systems, engineering specifications, and blueprints
Coordinates with the Operations Manager for Job Orders
Coordinate efforts with company's contracted Aircon vendors to ensure company Aircon systems are functioning perfectly
Perform related duties that may be assigned.
 Qualifications
Certified Aircon Technician
With at least 5 years of solid experience in air-conditioning system.
Responsible, Dependable and Reliable
Can work under less supervision
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Strong ability and skill to quickly and correctly diagnose, locate, and fix defects in refrigeration and air conditioning systems/units and similar equipment
Ability to work in confined spaces and open-air environments
Ability to effectively file work orders and write reports
Strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
Strong knowledge of the practices and principles for effective preventive maintenance of Aircon systems
Knowledge of safety measures and regulations to ensure all work is completed in a safe and legal manner.
Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
Time management skills to complete tasks within given deadlines and plan maintenance schedules effectively.
Willing to work beyond the normal working hours
Willing to do field work
Valid driver's license
