Position Summary:
This role is focused on data governance- maintaining standards to ensure compliance within the global market place as it relates to all uses of customer intelligence data for reporting and campaign management. It will work closely with management and business users to ensure standards and compliance issues are being addressed for any new or modifications to existing data flows. The position will also oversee the successful design, implementation, and monitoring of marketing database systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance and documentation of data structures, ensuring current practices and documentation is maintained and proper evaluation is done prior to consumer data use in the enterprise
Ensures that Global Consumer Data is being managed within compliance standards for both privacy and marketing permissions
Designs and implements complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures and packages against various production databases.
Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code
Identifies consumer data optimization and possible redundancies with the Customer Intelligence platforms and systems, establishing premier data hygiene efforts
Evaluates business and IT scenarios to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Management of all checks pre/post introduction of any new systems/data into Master Customer Intelligence database
Works as the business liaison between Customer Intelligence and IT to analyze any potential impacts of consumer data accuracy created by recommended business rule changes
Share best practices and make recommendations to Business units to improve efficiencies of Consumer Data
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
Requires 4-5 years of experience in programming and/or database related fields, including large scale data structures
Requires 1-2 years of management experience
Minimum of 2 years working directly with business users
Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems
Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Oracle SQL and PL/SQL a must
Understanding of extraction applications to supply the Customer Intelligence database platforms with data from any of the corporations transactional (AS/400) or analytical databases
Ability to establish and write quality control testing scenarios
Strong business skills in addition to technical expertise are required
SQL Server, SQL Server DTS, PERL, UNIX scripting
