Position Summary / Job Purpose:
The function of the Administrator role is to provide operating support for Dining/AffairWhere Applications, maintenance of the dining screens in AS400 and Shoreside support for the Royal fleet. Responsible for maintaining F & B Product inventory generating upwards of $6 million annually in pre cruise advance revenue with the management of 9.6 million product seats annually. The administrator is responsible for analyzing dining counts, PCP inventory, and maintaining the AffairWhere application for entertainment schedules for the fleet. The position is essential for Web support for inventory for Specialty Restaurants, beverage packages and onboard activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Entry of PCP/IBT inventory for F & B products in SilverWhere/ XDining application , 9.6 million seats annually
Coordinate inventory for Specialty Restaurants and Onboard events for IBT & PCP
Upload and update Hybris pricing and inventory for specialty products and onboard activities.
Manages AffairWhere locations for group amenities, group accounting
Deploys AffairWhere templates and entertainment schedules fleetwide
Monitors shipboard table assignments/allocations and dining file exports
Analytical review of seating counts fleetwide
Implements As400 Dining Deployments/Redeployments as directed by Revenue Department
Process Group Specialty Reservations and administer costs in AffairWhere
Weekend duty for troubleshooting fleet system issues
Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails and faxes from internal customers, answering and assisting with general questions, dining requests, executive escalations, pre or post dining issues
Financial Responsibility
Responsible for ensuring specialty restaurant inventory is available for sell on the RCCL website in order to generate pre-cruise revenue in approximately $50 million annually. Makes decisions according to Specialty Restaurant guidelines and available inventory, approving exceptions and ensuring correct costs are applied to reservations. Reporting for specialty as needed.
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills; literacy and fluency in English
Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills
Good problem solving skills
Strong computer skills in Windows, , Excel, Hyperion Reporting, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint,
Preferred but not required; knowledge of as400 (RCCL Reservation system for groups & individual reservations), AffairWhere, administration a plus
High School graduate required; some college preferred.
2 years year reservations required with group experience a strong plus.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
AS/400, Microsoft Word, Excel, Hyperion (or other database application), and Lotus Notes knowledge required.
EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years cruise industry experience, familiar with onboard ship functions, Experience with working on special projects also preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business guidelines with ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Moderate ability to calculate figures and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
