Job Description The successful candidate will have ownership of the following accountabilities: Provide support to actuarial staff in completion of data analysis and validation, and financial calculations and reporting. Resolve work assignments or analytical problems that do not require knowledge of actuarial mathematics. Perform calculations using spreadsheet programs and databases, run reports from PC applications, and identify differences in month-to-month experience. Assist in quality control including, but not limited to, data validation for reasonableness. Run standardized reports from the admin system on a regular basis Maintain and improve documentation of tasks for general reference and in conjunction with SOX. Develop and refine analytical skills in order to understand complex problems by decomposing issues into smaller, more manageable pieces. Develop an understanding of the business and its profitability drivers. Qualifications: Minimum Experience At least 2 years of actuarial work experience with Insurance Companies and/or Financial services Education Bachelor s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics Familiarity with financial/ economic principles. Driven to attain designation in any recognized actuarial organization (e.g. SOA, ASP). Soft Skills Good organizational skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Technical Skills Strong demonstration of various actuarial concepts and their application to life insurance, including interest theory and life contingencies.
