Accounts Payable accountant (home-based)Unified Accounting & Tax, LLP

Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents.
Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation.
Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant
Preferably with US accounting experience
Extensive experience in accounts payable is required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience
Proficient in Netsuite and other accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, XERO etc...
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work independently or with a team
System requirements:
Computer Processor: At least i3 5th generation for both primary and back up computers
Computer Memory/RAM: At least 8.00 GB for both primary and back up computers
Computer OS: Windows 10
Internet speed must be running on a 10+ Mbps wired plan (at least 5 Mbps for back up connection)
