ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
 
JOB SUMMARY:
 
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations. This role supervises accounting staff, prepares financial reports, reviews journal entries, manages payroll and disbursements, and assists management in financial planning and decision-making. The Accounting Supervisor also ensures timely and accurate submission of reports, budget monitoring, and proper internal controls within the accounting department.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of accounting staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Review and verify financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor company expenses, revenues, and budget compliance.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and government remittances (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls.
Assist management in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning.
Train, guide, and evaluate accounting staff performance.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Perform other related tasks assigned by the Finance or Operations Head.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or any related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is an advantage but not required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in food service, retail, or hospitality industry is an advantage.
SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Leadership, organization, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Leadership and supervisory skills training.

Taxation and compliance seminars (BIR updates).
Internal control and audit training.
