ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
 
JOB SUMMARY
 
The Accounting Supervisor oversees the general accounting area of the company and ensures that all financial and accounting operations within an accounting department run smoothly.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the preparation of periodic financial statements and the corporate annual report.
Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audit.
Reviews budget reports and assists other departments to prepare annual budgets.
Coordinates the preparation of the corporate tax return.
Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Complies with local and national government requirements.
Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.
Assists staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
Reviews and/or approves payments, journal entries, and/or adjusting entries as may be required.
Performs other related duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
With significant experience working as Accounting Supervisor
With sound knowledge of Accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Accounting Software
Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Excellent management and supervisory skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
