Accounting StaffSEAWAY FILIPINAS LOGISTICS, INC.

We are looking for a skilled-Accounting Staff to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Ultimately, a successful accounting staff will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
He/she is responsible for the financial bookkeeping and records of the company ensuring an efficient manner of recording and monitoring transactions e.g. disbursements, payables, receivables and processing invoices, collections, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
Prepares check payment vouchers and 2307.
Ensuring and verifying completeness of BIR 2307 submitted.
Processing of payables and government mandatories such as SSS/PHIC/HDMF/BIR and the like.
Reconcile bank statements.
Responsible in sake-keeping of all signed and unused checks.
Checks and verifies liquidation of Cash Advances.
Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department.
Assisting with audit support as necessary.
Typing accurately, preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
Preparing Bank deposits, general ledger and postings and statements.
Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.
Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve the financial process.
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any similar related course
Minimum 2 years relevant and related work experience
Self-starter. Highly motivated. Proactive. Responsible
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and experience in Xero Accounting Software is an advantage.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Can work with minimal supervision and under pressure
Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, financial statement preparation taxation, laws and regulation
Has maturity to deal with different types of situations
Willing to be trained, teachable attitude and team oriented.
Ability to multitask, effectively prioritize/manage time and workload.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
