The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and complete
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing input on cost optimization strategies
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper allocation of expenses and adherence to budgetary guidelines
Assist with auditing activities, providing necessary documentation and information to auditors
Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
Proven experience working as an accountant or in a similar role
Proficient knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
CPA certification is preferred, but not required
