Job Description
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the business process to be interpreted in financial reports (Balance Sheet & Income Statement & Cash Flow) every 5th day of the following month.
Ensure that submission of all schedules for balance sheet accounts are accurate and timely.
Ensure the timely reporting and submission of all monthly, quarterly tax obligations (withholding taxes, VAT, Income Tax).
Supervise the work of Property Accountant.
Supports staff accountants during budget and forecasting activities.
Collaborates with the other finance department managers (Treasury, IT) to support overall department goals and objectives.
Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
Responds to inquiries from the CFO, CEO and other managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
Work with the CFO to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
Support CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Handle BIR examination and initial negotiation under the directive of the CFO.
Other accounting duties that maybe assign from time to time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferably with CPA license.
With at least 5years to 10years working experience in the same field.
Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
Exceptional math skills.
Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software and MS Office.
High level of efficiency and accuracy.
Willingness to comply with all local and company regulations.
Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
