The Accounting Manager oversees all accounting processes that are vital to keep the organization running for our stakeholders. These include but are not limited to financial reporting and bookkeeping, billings and payables, tax and business compliance, budget preparation, and cost analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payments, and budget preparation.
· Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations.
· Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
· Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
· Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
· Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
· Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
· Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state regulations; coordinates with auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
· Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
· Provides financial analysis
· Ensures quality and excellent performance of payment services unit
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be a CPA
· At least 2 years of experience in the same capacity or 3 years of supervisory or officer level
· Excellent management and leadership skills
· Proven knowledge and experience in Accounting and Tax principles and best practices
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Hybrid setup: Onsite reporting in Makati thrice a week
· Stable and fast internet connection (at least 15MBPS); preferably with own laptop/desktop
