Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger.
Manage, direct and review the work of the accounting officers and staffs (including but not limited to cash reconciliation, bank account statement reconciliations, check runs, account receivable transactions, fixed asset activities, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.)
Maintain organized set of detail records and files to document financial transactions.
Resolve complex accounting issues or assist other personnel in resolving financial issues.
Review general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting.
Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
Manage tax returns.
Strong background in the area of taxation.
In charge of developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Manage controls for accounting procedures and systems.
Oversee internal control function.
Provide staff training and perform staff annual evaluations.
Other accounting functions as may be assigned by the Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Accountancy graduate
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least ten (10) years experience as Accounting Manager
Must be proficient in MS Office Applications
Knowledgeable in government reportorial requirements
Highly analytical, organized, details and report oriented
Has good problem-solving skills
Applicant must be willing to work in Novaliches, Quezon City
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 10 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
