Job Description
 
Responsibilities: Accounting clerk jobs include financial record-keeping, budgeting, and reporting for accounting departments. They also perform clerical duties, such as answering phone calls and emails, filing paperwork, and scheduling appointments. Update and maintain records, reconcile bank statements, and manage the accounting databases.
Maintaining and recording accounting transactions, files, books and records.
Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Answers telephones, opens and logs mail, meets and greets visitors, and assists in other clerical functions;
Serve as a resource for the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
Assist with year-end audit requests
Review and balance internal accounts, analyze variances, prepare reports, and monitor depreciable assets using financial software
Sorts documents; codes, logs, reviews for accuracy; matches supporting invoices to procurement documents; and verifies invoices for payment.
Prepares routine entries and posts financial transactions; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports.
Assists in preparation of financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost reports.
Assists in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment, supplies, and inventories.
Assists in preparation of monthly payments of Withholding tax, SSS, Philhealth & Pag-Ibig
Maintains and process the list and securing government certificates/permits/clearances (SEC, BIR, Mayor's, Barangay and Gov't Clearances) following correct procedures to ensure that payments and documents are submitted on time.
Assisting the company Accountant/ Accounting Manager for all accounting related clerical requirements
Coordinating with the company Accountant in all accounting matters as required
Handle some human relations and administrative works
Perform occasional outdoor errands, such as settling payments at banks
Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and sales tax computations.
Other related jobs that may from time to time assigned by superior
Required skills: Natural proficiency with math
Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance or accounting
One or two years of experience in clerical accounting
Experience with financial planning software
