JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Associate - Importation is in-charge of monitoring importation. He/She coordinates schedule of arrival dates of imported shipments to the supplier; applies for marine insurance and import permit; and submits shipping documents to the brokers and plant. He/She assigns the broker who will release the shipment, monitors the delivery to the plant, requests for fund allocation of cash advances and duties/taxes for imported shipments to be released in the Bureau of Customs.
JOB QUALIFICATION
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy/Customs Administration or related field.
With at least 1 year of experience in handling importation.
Knowledgeable of duties and taxes computation and basic costing; import and export procedures and basic customs regulations and processing procedures
Highly proficient in the use and application of MS Excel, MS Power Point, and other data base software
Experience in Quickbooks system is an advantage
Highly analytical skills
High Team spirit and capability to work with cross-functional groups
