JOB DESCRIPTION
Accounting assistant provide administrative support to accountants, undertaking clerical
tasks such as typing, filing, making phone calls, handling mail and basic bookkeeping.
Working directly for an accountant, accounting manager or finance manager (or a small
team of them), accounts assistants help to maintain the office and keep it running
smoothly. As well as helping the manager, accounts assistants also deal with customers
and external agencies.
Other duties and responsibilities of the job include:
Managing clerical or other administrative staff
Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post
Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers,
terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases; tracking vacation,
sick, and personal time.
Orients new employees by providing orientation information packets; reviewing
company policies; gathering withholding and other payroll information; explaining
and obtaining signatures for benefit programs.
Documents human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and
records.
Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by
completing related results as needed.
Process Business Permits and other licenses
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably a graduate of any Business course
At least 1 year experience in Accounting
Male/Female with pleasing personality.
Knowledge of office and accounting procedures
Exceptional computer skills - MS Office Suite
