The Accounting and Finance Staff is responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks to support the organization's financial operations.
 
Job Title: Accounting and Finance Staff
Job Summary:
The Accounting and Finance Staff is responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks to support the organization's financial operations. The role includes preparing and maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Functions
Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
Prepare journal entries, vouchers, and other supporting documents.
Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of bank statements.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely billing and collection.
Verify accuracy of invoices, receipts, and supporting documents before processing payments.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and files.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. Financial Reporting
Assist in the preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Generate and analyze accounting reports for management review.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor actual expenses versus budget and report variances.
Provide financial data to management for decision-making.
4. Compliance and Controls
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations (e.g., BIR requirements).
Prepare tax-related schedules, filings, and reports as needed.
Safeguard confidentiality of financial information and uphold data integrity.
5. Administrative and Coordination Tasks
Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
Support finance-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior or management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Preferably with 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates may also be considered).
Knowledgeable in basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively under minimal supervision.
