The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial records, ensuring the accounts and reports are finalized within a set deadline and according to the Company's accounting regulations, implementing financial systems, and preparing documents for external auditors.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the whole accounting operations from receipts to disbursements and payroll
Developing a company's financial and accounting policies, workflows, and methods
Developing, managing, and mentoring the finance team
Auditing accounts to ensure they comply with the company's policy regulations and other regulatory requirements
Preparing all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and financial reports and other documents needed by the management and the company's external auditors
Evaluating the company's financial transactions to ensure strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Prepares/Reviews all tax returns and supervises the timely and accurate payment
Reviewing financial statements to pinpoint possible fraud and errors
Assist in/supervise the preparation of journals, and account reconciliations especially bank and inventory reconciliations
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
Certified Public Account (CPA) with at least 5 years of experience specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting, or experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager or any relevant capacity
Proficient in written and spoken English
Adept with computers, and mobile devices and proficient in using productivity tools and email
MUST know how to use Quickbooks Online and other accounting software and ERPs
Advanced Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vLookups, etc.) and Google Sheet skills in building complex financial models and experience with using planning systems
Previous background in the importation, distribution, retail, or manufacturing industry is a plus
Highly organized with great attention to detail
Very good presentation skills
