Job Title: Accountant Department: Accounting & Finance Location: Cebu Branch Salary: Php 40,000.00 - Php 80,000.00 PURPOSE The accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles /local GAAP/ and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports (required by the group financial department) and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The accountant is responsible in the set-up of the accounting procedures in the local office, and actively participates in the office decision-making procedures, from tax and accounting point of view. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain account balances and bank statements Oversee accounts payables and receivables Maintain company accounting procedures and processes Manage general ledger and assist month-end/year-end close processes Prepare financial statements and analysis Record financial information for analysis Provide advice on accounting and tax national legislation Assist with audits and taxes Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders Prepare and file tax returns according to the national legislation Preparation and submission of all statutory reports in the required deadlines Ensure that all requirements from the local authorities are fulfilled Year End Closing procedure QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field 5 to 10 years' experience in accounting and taxation sphere Previous experience as an accountant, or accounting supervisor Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office Suite knowledge Very good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations, taxes and IFRS Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment Certified Public Accountant is preferred Possess a strong understanding of PEZA regulations and expertise in Payroll Processes.
