Our client is an entrepreneurial sales agency delivering retail excellence and driving sales within the pharmacy channel.
They are now looking to hire an Accountant to help with their growing team.
Job Responsibilities:
Recording and classifying financial transactions (daily)
Bank reconciliations (daily)
Credit Card reconciliations and ensuring all transactions have support (weekly)
Review and process expense reimbursements (daily/as required)
Oversite and process employee travel ensuring trips and overspending is approved (daily/as required)
Maintaining/reviewing general ledger accounts (monthly).
Maintaining and organizing financial records and documents for all transactions (daily/as required).
Manage fixed assets records and depreciation schedules (monthly).
Trial balance reconciliation including reviewing and commentary (monthly).
Maintenance of accounts email inbox.
Responding to financial inquiries from clients, vendors, and employees.
Accounts Payable, including preparation of ABA files for payments.
Accounts Receivable including reconciliation of client sales summary against available supporting data.
Payroll - including preparation of ABA files for payments. (fortnightly/as required).
Maintain and reconcile staff leave calendar.
End-of-month payroll summary.
Payroll tax filings for Vic, Qld, NSW, ACT, WA, and SA
Superannuation reconciliation and payment
Workcover filing and reconciliation
Budget file, updates, and actual budget reporting.
BAS/IAS reconciliations.
Monitoring cash flow and cash flow projections.
Sales invoice (AR) reconciliations (15)
Accounts payable, approx. 30 payments
Expense reimbursement average 17 payments.
Payroll - currently 50 staff paid fortnights (average 2 onboarding and 2 off boardings per month)
Requirements
Must have at least 3 years of experience handling Australian Accounting or Bookkeeping.
Must have an Accounting degree and/or a CPA or equivalent.
Must have an experience with Xero.
Must have a prior experience with Xero-Australian business.
Must have a prior experience with the Australian small business environment.
Must be diligent.
Attention to detail
Ability to complete tasks on a timely basis and in an accurate manner.
