BMG Outsourcing is looking for a motivated, positive, and keen Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining a variety of ledgers used to produce key financial reports. The successful applicant will be working with one of our Australian client that is an accounting, tax, and consultancy firm.
Job responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders
Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS / IAS
Compilation and analysis of electronic supporting workpapers using XERO workpapers
Achieving competence in stage 1-10 training tasks in order to complete compliance work tasks
Setting up of new XERO ledgers
Completion of bookkeeping requirements for client's needs
Australian tax training
Training and mentoring of junior staff and new staff when required
Attending team development activities of client and BMG Outsourcing.
Contributing to planning and organization of activities as requested on a time to time basis
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping/accounting experience with an Australian firm
Experience using Xero / MYOB
Experience with working with Australian SMEs
Experience with Australian tax, audit, and accounting standards
Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts
Competent with computer operations as well as some specific applications, such as Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook.
Experience with relevant computer systems
The person must be keen to learn and develop their computer competencies
Excellent communication skills
