Roles and Responsibilities
- Be involved in preparation of payroll, accounts payable and invoices for our clients, including:
- Review client timesheets, noting any discrepancies or concerns to manager or team lead
- Prepare client payruns according to Australian Fair Work and other employment
requirements
- Check pay rates and leave rates are in accordance with relevant awards and legislation
- Reconcile payroll, superannuation and leave and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) events
- Process and check supplier invoices including updates to payment details, checking GST
applied appropriately
- Review medical practice billings and raise invoices for doctors within the practice
- Assist manager and team lead with reporting for daily scrum and weekly meetings
- Monitor client emails and escalate to appropriate team members in a timely manner
- This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be required to be completed day-to-day as directed by the Accounting Team Leader
Required Experience
- Have 1-2 years experience processing payroll for Australian businesses
- Bookkeeping experience for Australian businesses
- Familiarity with Australian GST, tax and payroll rules and legislation
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold an accounting degree from a recognised University
- CPA qualification is desirable but not required

- Ability to multitask and manage requests and deadlines from multiple stakeholders
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to accept and follow documented procedures and workflows
- Ability to work within and achieve daily deadlines

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing
- Ability to use company software with ease and ensure 100% accuracy at all times for all activities
