A U.S.-based real estate investment firm is hiring a Junior Controller (CPA) to support its multi-entity financial operations and executive leadership. This role blends hands-on financial oversight, bookkeeping supervision, and high-level support. With direct mentorship from U.S. leadership, it's ideal for a CPA eager to grow into a Full Controller role.Remote (Philippines-based) | Full-time (40 hours/week) | U.S. PST hours or significant overlapSalary: Starts at $8/hour (negotiable based on experience)Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations - Support month-end closes, multi-entity reporting, reconciliations, and ensure GAAP compliance.
Property & Investor Management - Review property budgets, support investor distributions & cash flow forecasts, and coordinate K-1/1099 tax filings.
Compliance & Controls - Monitor lender, tax, and regulatory requirements; maintain audit-ready records; strengthen financial processes.
Team & Leadership Support - Oversee offshore bookkeeping vendors; assist U.S. leadership to ensure smooth finance operations.
About You:You are a licensed CPA (Philippines or U.S.) with a solid foundation in U.S. real estate accounting or audit. You thrive in dynamic, multi-entity environments and are eager to step into broader financial leadership responsibilities with mentorship.This fully remote role is perfect for a detail-oriented CPA ready to step into broader responsibilities, with the support and mentorship to grow into a senior leadership position.Requirements
Active CPA license (PH or U.S.)
3+ years of U.S. real estate accounting/audit experience (multi-entity preferred)
Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; QuickBooks Online proficiency (certification a plus)
Excellent English communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (modeling, vlookups, pivots, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a top university
Bonus Points for:
Familiarity with U.S. real estate finance systems (Yardi, AppFolio, Juniper Square)
Prior exposure to investor reporting, tax coordination, or multi-entity structures
Ability to balance technical accounting tasks with general support for senior leadership
