Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring seamless bookkeeping processes.
Post daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Process invoices, receipts, purchase orders, accounts payable/receivable, and supplier/vendor payments.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger monthly.
Reconcile company credit card statements monthly.
Prepare financial data and reports using Excel and Fathom.
Extract and compile expense submissions via Dext.
Support payroll activities, issue refunds, and supplier payments.
Identify and correct errors or discrepancies, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Assist with audit preparation and reporting as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in a remote environment or the cannabis industry.
Post-secondary education in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
Experience with Fathom (or comparable financial reporting platforms).
Comfortable using Dext or similar receipt-processing tools.
Solid understanding of AP, AR, reconciliation, general ledger, and financial compliance.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving acumen.
Excellent communication and organization skills
