Accountant/Finance Consultant
What are we looking for:
We are searching for an Accountant to be assigned to our Australian client. In this role, you will be responsible for providing end to end bookkeeping and payroll support to startups and venture capital funds in Australia.
Beyond your experience, we are also looking for someone who is professional and possesses impeccable English communication in written and verbal form.
This role is 100% work from home.
In this role, you will:
Setup and general maintenance of client Xero accounting files including clean-up of transactions;
Weekly bank reconciliations;
Managing and preparing accounts payable and preparing .ABA files;
Managing and preparing accounts receivables;
Managing and preparing fixed assets registers;
Preparing and lodging Australian BAS and IAS;
Researching and implementing new tech for our clients;
Adding new employees to Xero;
Processing payruns;
Single Touch Payroll (STP) filings;
Superannuation lodgements;
Payroll tax declarations;
Manage employee leave and timesheets;
About You:
Core qualifications:
2 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll support for Australian-based businesses
Experience in using Xero
Must be knowledgeable with technology, including (but not limited to) all microsoft programs, G-suit and Google products, Asana, Xero and Slack
Must be HIGHLY organized
Must be able to work independently and efficiently
Strong attention to detail
Exposure and a basic understanding of PowerBI is a plus
Strong English communication skills both written and verbal
