Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for construction projects.
Track and reconcile project expenses, revenue, and budgets.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions related to construction projects.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
Collaborate with project managers to develop and monitor project budgets.
Conduct cost analysis to identify variances and recommend cost-saving measures.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts for construction projects.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with industry-specific accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory authorities as required.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements for construction projects.
Job Costing:
Implement and maintain job costing systems to accurately allocate costs to specific construction projects.
Analyze job cost reports to assess project profitability and identify areas for improvement.
Audit Support:
Assist in internal and external audits related to construction projects.
Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.
Communicate financial information and insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or relevant professional certification preferred.
-Proven experience as an accountant in the construction industry.
-Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
-Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
