WHAT IS A FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT Our awesome client, a leading retail company based in Australia is looking for a financial accountant to be part of their Accounting team. Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will be a member of a high performing diverse team WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation of Group Monthly Management Report Processing month-end and year-end work papers and journals General ledger maintenance and reconciliations Preparation of reporting to key stakeholders including - Performance Results Profit/Cost Centre reporting Region Performance Reporting Retail Business Surveys Assisting with collation of year- end audit queries documentation Assisting stores and internal stakeholders with general ledger queries Ad hoc projects as required WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate will have: CA/CPA qualification with 5+ years' experience Understanding and experience in statutory reporting Understanding of various entity types and statutory obligations Experience in using technology for automation and streamlining of systems and processes Can do attitude and open to learning new things Have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication Maintain strict confidentiality with financial related records
